Ooooo BABY!

I believe the words were "blinged out baby shower." I hope this cake lives up to the Bling! You may not be able to tell in the photo but it is covered in edible glitter! It was definitely the most sparkly cake I've ever done. Then we had to put the rhinestones on the diamonds of course. The bow is hiding it a little bit but the design on the top tier is zebra. When the girls came to pick it up they actually screamed. Those are always the best reactions. I love what I do!

Little Baby Boy

This cake was chocolate with chocolate mousse. I really hope the guests at this shower really like chocolate! And in case the background is too dark the base color is chocolate brown too. And you can't see it but the polka dots on the top tier get smaller as they go around the back. I'm really starting to get into this baby boy thing. I did only girly stuff for so long and with this run of boy stuff I've done lately I'm really starting to embrace it. It's still an interesting process to decide where to put something else where you would normally put flowers or bows. :o)

Simple but Freakin Awesome!!

Okay, I LOVE this cake! It was for a six-year old boy's birthday party. His mom gave me the little tile on the cake stand and said "turn this into a cake" so I did. She said that the dad was more excited about the cake than the birthday boy was.

Black and White Wedding!

This was an impromtu wedding cake. The family had other plans but something happened last minute where they couldn't do it anymore so they called me. I was a little nervous about having two cakes due in one day but with a little planning it went off without a hitch. I think this wedding cake is FABULOUS!! The wedding it wa delivered to was gorgeous, black and white, with red roses. It was really nice and I think the cake went perfectly!

Awaiting the arrival of a princess!

This cake was for a dear friends baby shower. The invitation was purple, black, and cream and had a darling crown on it. It was printed on pearlized paper so I pearled the cake to match. I kept wondering if I should add some decoration to the bottom tier but I couldn't think of anything classy enough to stay in keeping with the classiness of the shower so I left it blank. I made the crown out of fondant with sugar pearls. I tried to make it out of gum paste but it was too dry and I kept breaking it. The crystal above it was just hanging from the chandelier above the table. It wasn't part of the cake. :o)

A Baby Girl is Blessed

I love the shimmer shimmer with the edible sugar pearl accents. If this doesn't say new baby I don't know what does. I didn't taste this one but I know it was good. It was vanilla cake with 3 layers of chcolate mousse in each tier. YUM!
