1 Year Anniversary

The instructions I got for this cake was to make it olive green and black and then I had creative control from there.  I saw a picture similar to this one online and I couldn't help but create it.  The crazy part was that it matched the tablecloth almost exactly and it was by pure coincidence.  It must have been fate.  It was unbelievable.  This cake seems simple but was way more work than I imagined.  You can't really see it but the ribbons around each tier were made of black fondant and were all folded up to look like satin fabric and it took a very long time.  Then doing the bows on their sides was another challenge.  But I absolutely LOVE this cake.  It now rests very high on my favorite cakes list.

Tempestt gets married!

The wedding that this cake was for was the most beautiful wedding!  The bride looked like a fairy princess and the location (El Rico's in Queen Creek) was fantastic.  Her colors were bright pink and orange.  I looked at the picture of the cake she wanted and said no problem...  Then when I started working on it, it was so much more work that I imagined, but totally worth it!  It turned out great.  The top 3 layers were real cake but they didn't eat it because no one wanted to chop into the cake.
These were the cupcakes I made for the same wedding as the cake above.  They didn't want to chop into the cake too early so they had mini cupcakes for the kids to eat in the mean time.  They were vanilla with orange cream topping, chocolate with raspberry, and chocolate with vanilla.  I have done these for several weddings but just didn't post their pictures.  These were a really big hit... Who knew...

Babies, Babies, and More Babies...

Once again, a baby shower cake.  I really love doing these!  I got to have full creative control on this one too and it was a good time.  The polka dot line runs down the back too.  I am in love with this bow.  I originally tried to make it bigger but when I put in on the cake I'm glad I didn't because it was HUGE!  This cake made my whole weekend.  I just LOVE what I do.  :o)
