Fancy Nancy Cake

There aren't even words for how FANCY this cake was!  The instructions were "make a cake that Fancy Nancy would like" so this is what I did.  I got the original book and just picked out elements and patterns from it and came up with this tiny masterpiece.  Believe it or not the flower on top started out much bigger than this but I ended up cutting the petals down because it would have completely taken over the whole cake.  This cake took hours and I still didn't get everything on it that I wanted before it had to be delivered.  I guess it's probably a good thing, it was getting out of hand.  The gold butterflies on the springs were my favorite.  I had a BALL making this cake.  I think it's definitely my most "fancy" one yet for sure.  :o)  My job makes me happy!

A Pool Party Wedding

This couple got married poolside and wanted flip flops and beach balls.  Both the balls and the flip flops are edible with edible silver glitter on them.  I tell you what, I really under estimated how long it would take to make 50 tiny flip flops and paint 25 miniature beach balls.  But it was worth it, they turned out really cute.

40th Anniversary

This cake was designed after the couple's wedding colors and flowers.  How thoughtful was that???  :o)  It's a little tough to see in this photo but there are tiny chocolate fondant bows on the ribbon of each tier with a tiny little daisy in the middle of each.
